Hello folks, another gratuitous Scottish image from my personal collection this time of Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven. We will be visiting this national treasure next June on our way to Orkney. During Cromwell’s invasion in the 1650s it held out for almost a year. The Scottish crown jewels were held there and successfully smuggled out and hidden before the castle was eventually surrendered.
The camera on my phone really let me down towards the end of my tour. I’m safely home now and would like to thank everyone of the many people who helped me along the way. I look forward to getting back later this year..

The Land of the Free is also the Land of the personalised number plate. Snapped this cracker at the New Hampshire Highland Games. Couldn’t help thinking that it was asking for attention from the Highway Patrol…
Had super show in Flemington NJ last night . Special thanks to Moira and David for their hospitality. Off to play for old friends at the Green Willow this evening….

manhbrid A beautiful day to drive into the the city, though not for the faint hearted! Had a smashing house show in Brooklyn many thanks to David and Kathleen. This is the Manhattan skyline which never ceases to inspire awe.
A still warm ‘whole wheat everything’ bagel from La Bagel Delight in Brooklyn. The real deal. Don’t get these in Perth!
